Writer's Block: Fictional Character

I love this question! It's Jack Sparrow, from Pirates of the Caribbean. I love his ability to "run between the raindrops" because he believes he can. No matter how bad things get for him, he has the unquenable belief that he will get through it somehow and a chance ot make it well for himself.
I also relate to him, because he's been betrayed by so many people and has a very difficult time trusting and opening himself up. Yet despite those betrayals, he goes through life exactly as he pleases. He walks around like he's drunk, he says and does whatever he wants. Most amazingly, he's so damn good at finding the one ray of hope that exists, and is so charming, that no matter the level of distrust or how mad one might find him, people around tend to follow his lead. Because they know it'll turn out okay if they can get under his umbrella.
